Full Body Golf Workout for Golfers (60-Minute Routine)

If you want to drive the ball farther and play your best for all 18 holes, you need a body that can produce power and hold its posture. This 60-minute full-body golf workout takes you through a complete session — foam rolling, dynamic warm-up, activation, power, strength, stability, and cool-down — so you move better and your swing stays resilient from the first tee to the last green.

How the workout is built

This isn’t a random collection of gym exercises. It’s a full golf-fitness session in the order your body needs it:

  1. Foam rolling — feet, calves, and T-spine to loosen up and prevent injury.
  2. Dynamic warm-up — get the muscles activated and ready for action.
  3. Activation — Adductor Rock Backs and Half Kneeling Band Rotations to prime your body for the power work ahead.
  4. Power — Squat/Box Jumps, Power Push-ups, and Rotational Jumps for explosive strength and swing speed.
  5. Strength — three blocks covering Reverse Lunges with lateral resistance, Row with Reach, Offset Squats, Shuffle Press, Bear Crawl Lift Offs, and a half-kneeling series (Press, Halo, Rotational Row).
  6. Stability — Split Stance Deadlift with rotation, Rainbow Palloff Press, Split Stance Holds, and Side Planks.
  7. Cool-down — 90/90 Heel Clicks, Starfish, Half Kneeling 360 Rainbow, Cat/Cow, and Crossed Prayer, finishing in Child’s Pose.

Key moves and what they do for your swing

  • Squat/Box Jumps — build the explosive leg drive that adds clubhead speed.
  • Rotational Jumps — train the aggressive hip rotation that powers the downswing.
  • Adductor Rock Backs — open up the inner hips so you can load into the trail side.
  • Half Kneeling Band Rotations — teach your upper body to rotate while the lower body stays stable — exactly what a good swing does.
  • Offset Squats — single-side loading that exposes imbalances and builds even strength.
  • Row with Reach — strengthens the upper back and shoulder blade control for better posture at address.
  • Split Stance Deadlift with Rotation — trains the weight transfer from trail leg to lead leg under load.
  • Rainbow Palloff Press — anti-rotation core strength, so your midsection resists early extension.
  • Side Planks and Split Stance Holds — the quiet stability that lets you hold your finish and strike it pure.

Who it’s for and how often

This is for golfers at every level — whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting, the routine meets you where you are. Do it 1–2 times per week as a standalone session, or use the warm-up and activation blocks before your range sessions. Take it to the gym, or do it at home with minimal equipment.
