If you could change just one thing…..

Everyone wants to improve some aspect of their life when we talk about health and well being. Maybe you want to lose 10 pounds. Run 10 km. Stress less. Sleep more. Play golf pain free. Or even just complete 10 push ups. All of these goals take steps to reach them. If we don’t know how to achieve our goals, will we reach them? I doubt it.

Open up your mind to the idea of change and the possibilities are endless. We’ve all experienced some sort of change over the last year and a half. Good and bad. Change can be a good thing if it’s positive. A negative change can also turn into some of the most positive things you will do in your life. Don’t let a negative change bring you down. Instead, use it as motivation and turn a negative into a positive.

A lot of the goals or tasks discussed in the first paragraph might seem intimidating or like something you might not be able to do. Everyone starts somewhere. Today is the day that you can begin that journey too. Your only limitation is yourself.

Write down the one thing that you want to change about your current health status….

Now it’s time to figure out how to make that change. Everyone has habits that control their days and lives. Creating positive lasting habits is how to achieve optimal health. This isn’t as hard as you might think.

Step 1

Identify the problem (e.g. Need to lose weight.)

Step 2

Determine the strategy needed to improve the problem (e.g. Eat a balanced diet of whole foods.)

Step 3

Design a plan to address the problem (e.g. Plan out your meals, snacks and hydration. Don’t deviate from the plan!)

Step 4

Implement the plan (e.g. Start the plan and watch the magic happen!)

This might seem like I’ve simplified this process, which I have, but that doesn’t mean it has to be more difficult than this.
